One source claims that Smith Webb was the son of William Webb Jr.143 but William E. Webb states that a family Bible record disproves that.92 Simple logic would suggest that it makes sense for the Smith middle name to come from Rachel Smith. At any rate, I have included William Smith Webb here as the child of William Webb Jr. and Rachel Smith, but this is a duplicate I believe with some of the odds and ends that don’t make much sense to me placed with it.
