This son of James Mulder, is supposed to be a cousin to the young lady in California with whom I have talked. Her grandfather was Morris Ellis Thornton, who died in Portales New Mexico in 1937. In the newspaper article no mention of a child was made, although the fact she was pregnant may not have been reported. Her ancestor was supposed to be Mark Thornton, at this time have not been able to verify. However David W. Thornton had a brother named Mark. Also from what I was told in my early years this was the Uncle Bob who was a truck driver as I was told at the family reunion in Cleveland Texas by his grandchildren that he was a logger and worked in the woods until he lost one arm then he only drove a truck which hauled trees.
