Evie attended school in Levelland Texas for the first year and one half of the second year, moving to Portales until the fourth grade, at which time she moved to Clovis. Attended Eugene Field, and had the honor of being the only class to attend seventh grade in the old high school which was torn down in 1957. After junior high at Marshall, she moved up to the new high school on Thornton Street for her sophmore and junior years. Between the junior and senior years, having gotten married she had to transfer to Texico where she graduated in 1962. She has worked at the Credit Union since 1973. If you ask her she will bend your ear for a long time about her grandchildren.
