Notes for George Washington Leaser
Likely the George W Leaser who was in Company H of the 115 Illinois Infantry and rendered an invalid during the civil war. He joined on August 12, 1862 at the age of 20 in Tazewell County, IL. He mustered in a month later at Camp Butler, IL and mustered out on June 11, 1865 at Camp Harker, TN. He spent the majority of his time in the unit in the hospital at Quincy, IL (from October 1, 1863 on).7356 This George W Leasor married a woman named Nancy with which he had three children before dying some time before September 8, 1882.
