Oscar Jr. Cavallin [deceased], He served in the U.S. Army Paratroops Co., B-50 Parachute infantry and the U.S. Airborne. He was a German prisoner, escaping from Poland and walked to freedom to Russia. He was an independent horse trainer, Red River Rider, and rancher in Brewster County, and a peace officer of Calhoun County, Victoria County and member of Texas Racing Commission and American Quarter Horse Association. He also raised longhorn cattle and would rent them to the movie industry for films.2104
