Notes for Linda Lou Tanner
Her obituary read:6105

A celebration of life for Linda L. Binning, 61, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, at the North Hills Baptist Church in Lingle with the Pastor Charles Hyatt officiating.

Linda died suddenly from a brain aneurysm on April 16 at her home in Torrington and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that memorial donations in Linda’s memory be directed to either the Torrington Baptist Tabernacle or to Valley Christian School Foundation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends are invited to send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com

Linda was born on July 12, 1948 in Auburn, Neb., the daughter of Leslie G. and Lula May (Bigley) Tanner. The family moved to Green River, where Linda received her education; graduating from Green River High School in 1966. She married Burleigh Binning, Jr. on April 6, 1966, and the couple later divorced. Linda moved to Pinedale, where she worked in the family construction business and did the bookkeeping. She moved to Torrington in August of 2006.

Linda was a custom woodworker and she made furniture and cabinets. She was a devoted mom and made the necessary sacrifices to be there for her children. She was the Secretary for Dillman Estates in Torrington and she was a member of the Torrington Baptist Tabernacle.

Our dearest friend and closest companion, your loss and the ache in our hearts is only filled by the knowledge that your life was given to our Lord Jesus for all eternity.

She is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie (Robert S.) Randolph of Torringto; and Billie Gene (Jay) Eckhardt of Laramie; her son, Burleigh Dean (Jodie) Binning, III of Blackfoot, Idaho; her mother, Lula Tanner of Torrington; a sister, Patricia Kappes of Rock Springs and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Anna Kappes, and two nieces, Janet and Anna Marie Kappes.

All sources of data are documented on the “Person Sheet” for each individual. My early data often came from less-than-reliable sources (e.g., “Sarah’s genealogy pages”). If the only sources for a person is something like that or worse there is no listed source for data, please take the information as only a suggestion and not a fact.
