April 11, 1916 -- May 1, 2000 James Christiansen, 84, of Turlock died Monday
at Emanuel Medical Center. Mr. Christiansen was a native and lifelong
resident of Turlock. He was a farmer. He belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic
Church. He is survived by his wife, Alma Christiansen of Turlock; children,
Jon Christiansen and Arne Christiansen, both of Modesto; and sisters, Hulda
Christiansen and Thelma Chouchman, both of Modesto, and Lillian Eaton of
Yucaipa. The rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias
Chapel. A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4
p.m to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral
chapel. Remembrances may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 650 Rose
St., Turlock 95380.
