Notes for George Nicholas Cook
From Cathy Ayres:61 The first two wives were sisters…..and if you look closely at their birth dates you will see that they were not only sisters, but twins! According to the story, Ellis got sick. When Ellis became sick, Lennie came to their home to help take care of her and the boys. During this illness, Lennie and George Nicholas had an affair. Deana was conceived. After Ellis died, Lennie and George married. But the marriage did not last long, and Lennie left with Deana. As you can see, Ellis died in 1890. George Nicholas Cook and Lennie married on July 1, 1890.

There are marriage records for George N Cook marrying M J Pitt on April 7, 1882 in Robertson County, TN. This seems very likely to be a first wife of George before marrying the Ellis sisters.

All sources of data are documented on the “Person Sheet” for each individual. My early data often came from less-than-reliable sources (e.g., “Sarah’s genealogy pages”). If the only sources for a person is something like that or worse there is no listed source for data, please take the information as only a suggestion and not a fact.
