Henry Young Webb studied law at the University of North Carolina. He became a member of the NC legislature in 1817.
In 1818 President Monroe appointed Henry judge for the Alabama Territory. The first legislature of Alabama elected him a Circuit Court judge, and to the Supreme Court of Alabama in 1819, a position he was holding at the time of his death. (Our Webb Kin in Dixie, W.J. Webb)613
