According to Laura Beard, he lived in Commins Mills, Jackson County, TN.1460 But he was in Sumner County, TN in 1900 and robbing the cradle! He was 43 years old and married to a 14 year old girl.1711

J. G. and Mary Dewees had a daughter Edna M. Dewees born February 9, 1909 in Sumner County, TN. The father was born in Sumner County, TN while the mother was born in Putnam County, TN. The baby was delivered by Dr. Ventress.1712

It’s actually not so bad, the Jessie DeWeese that married Mary A Choat is in the 1920 census of the 14th District of Sumner County, TN with his 43 year old wife (means the 1900 census was off by 10 years) and six children ranging in age from 17 to 7.1713
