PETERSON, JOHN F., resides on section 7, P. O. Stanton; Mr. Peterson was born in Sweden, June 26, 1819, and came to America in 1867, located in Wapello County, Iowa, and lived there four years; in 1871 came to Montgomery County, and settled on his present farm. He was married to Miss Anna C. Fagerstrom, who was born in Sweden, September 29, 1826. They were married November 2, 1845; they are the parents of eleven children, nine living: Anna A., born February 24, '47; Ida C., February 4, '49; John A., January 1, '51; Otto T., December 31, '52; Hannah C., December 13, '56; Edward P., February 15, '58, died February 25, '58; Jacob A., January 31, '60; Emma B., May 17, '62; Victor O., September 24, '64; Leonard A., September 28, '66; Charles G., February 16, '70; died February 25, '70. They are both members of the church. Mr. Peterson has four hundred and eighty acres of land, and on the eighty where he lives he has a fine orchard of one hundred trees, also a nice grove around the house; he has a large number of horses, cattle and hogs.
