Aprilla eloped with Tony Powell who worked for and with " Grandpa Brock on a farm in Oklahoma.
She was 16 and he was several years older, but all was well as the working arrangement lasted. For the next sixteen or seventeen years on farms in Oklahoma and Texas, except for a couple of years, the Powells spent in San Angelo for Tony's Health. They returned to Palacious, Texas and lived with Grandma and Grandpa Brock until his death. Aprilla Worked as a nanny/housekeeper for the "town" bankers family. The three Powell kids stayed on the farm with the rest of the Brocks.2035
