"Jonas Webb, 400 acres on Simpson's Creek, adjoing lands claimed by the heirs of George Wilson, in the pedlars right, to include his settlement made thereon in 1773, with a premption of 1000 acres adjoining thereto".
Jonas Webb and Elizabeth Nutter settled on Simpson's Creek about 1772.
The Webb family history says thatey may also have had a child named Nathan.

Settlements were made on Simpson's Creek, the West Fork, river and on Elk Creek... John Anderson and Jonas Webb, who located themselves further up the Elk's Creek.
Jonas Webb died late in 1781 early 1782 as Elizabeth Nutter Webb is shown as a widow with a large family in the 1782 tax list for Monongalia county Va and in 1785. Jonas Webb died intestate.
The conclusion that Jonas Webb died at this point and time is Elizabeth Webb is recorded in the Monongalia county land entry book as obtaining the 1000 acres, prempted to Jonas Webb, adjacent to Jonas Webb's settlement.
