Edna Louise Webb Green went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her home.
A Bradley Central High School graduate, Class of 1955, she served the Cleveland community for years, working first in sales at Parks Belk and then in banking at Merchants, Third National, SunTrust, and finally First Citizens banks, where she made many new friends as she directed the senior travel program.
She was a loving and patient caregiver for years to her husband, Verlin “Dee” Green, prior to his death in 2016. She exemplified love with a contagious smile and warm hug. She never met a stranger, and always made time and conversation with everyone with whom she came in contact.
She loved Bellefounte Baptist Church and has many friends there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Carney and Margaret Sue Webb.
She is survived by daughter, Susan, and son-in-law, Darrell Thurman; grandchildren: Matthew (Erica) Thurman, and Zachary (Carmen) Thurman; great-grandchildren: Jackson, Charlotte and Joseph; sisters: Connie (Walter) Green and Wilma (Emmett) Chastain; sisters-in-law: Jean Wilson, Linda (Ken) Lawhorn and Shirley (Pete) Cecil; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
With the deepest gratitude, the family thanks all those who sent prayers, cards, visits, food and kind thoughts that she was showered with these last few months. The family expressed appreciation to Hospice of Chattanooga’s Cleveland office. Also, “thank you” to Dr. Tran and Dr. Virostek.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road N.W.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Minister Lake Walker officiating the service.
She will be laid to rest in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens following the service.

Verlin D. “Dee” Green, 79, of Cleveland, Tennessee, died on Friday, March 18, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends at Bradley Healthcare & Rehab Center.
Dee was born in Tellico Plains on Feb. 4, 1937 to the late Reverend Charles & Leona Green. He was faithful member of Bellefounte Baptist Church. In his younger years, he helped his father timber and enjoyed working at Bendabout farm. Dee retired as a supervisor from Cleveland, Chair Company after forty four years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley B. Green; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Wilson.
Dee is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 60 years, Edna Louise Webb Green; one daughter and son-in-law, Darrell & Susan Thurman; two grandsons, Matthew L. Thurman and his wife Erica and Zachary S. Thurman and his wife Carmen; two great-grandchildren, Jackson L. Thurman and Charlotte R. Thurman; three sisters, Jean Wilson, Linda Lawhorn (Ken) and Shirley Cecil (Pete); three sisters-in-law, Wilma Chastain (Emmett), Connie Green (Walter) and Jane Green; one aunt, Dora West; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, church family members at Bellefounte Baptist Church and special friends.
A celebration of Dee’s life is planned for Monday, March 21 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Lake Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor from 12-2 p.m. service time.
The family would like say a special thank you to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Clinic, Tennova Hospital and Bradley Health Care & Rehab Center for the wonderful care that Dee and his family received.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Bellefounte Baptist Church in Dee’s memory.

ARCHIBALD ~ David Aubrey "Sprocket" Archibald passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the age of seventy-five years.
Dave was born in Upper Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia on August 27, 1938 to Georgetta and David Archibald.
Dave leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Kay; daughter, Michelle (Richard) Duncan; son, Trevor (Jackie) Archibald; four grandchildren, Aubrie and Kaylee Duncan and Owen and Lucas Archibald; sister, Geraldine (Louie) Horvath and numerous other relatives.
Dave was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Shirley (Wiss) Fleming.
The Memorial Service for Dave was conducted from the Lloydminster Exhibition Prairie Room, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor John Haycock officiating.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.

Tanys Marie Anderson of Calgary passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, March 11, 2004, with many family members and friends at her side, five days after celebrating her 33rd birthday.
Tanys enjoyed softball, skiing and spending time with family, friends and her two cats. Her bright blue eyes, infectious smile and warm personality will be missed by all.
Tanys is survived by very special friend and soul mate, David Genoway; her mother Sandy Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Kevin Slusarenko; and her father and step-mother, Gary and Norma Anderson.
Sharing their grief are Lola and Erhart Nagel, Grandma Anderson, Eve Nielson, Kara and Dwayne Fenton, Leslie and Robert Enz, Bernie and Gladys Evans, Janice and Brian Mokray, Sharon and Darrel Metz, Jim and Annette Waletsky, Penny Colvin and Mike Eisner, Jen and Kathy, Auntie Linda, and extended families and many friends past and present.
