Raymer—Henry Raymer, forty, died at his home, 1431 Plum street, at 12:10 a. m. Friday. Death was caused by a stroke of apoplexy suffered about two weeks ago. Mr. Raymer is survived by his wife, Natalie, and four minor children: Helen, Edward, Harold and Roy. He was a member of Lincoln lodge No. 19, A. F. & A. M., Capitol lodge No. 11, I. O. O. F., and was affiliated with the Sons of Herman. Funeral announcements will be made by Wadlow’s.

The marriage of Mrs. Florence L. McConough of Darien, Conn., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Buxman of Lincoln, Neb., to William H. Rice Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Rice of 900 W. Eighth St., took place Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford, Conn. The Rev. Donald F. Campbell performed the marriage in a setting of white snapdragons, white calla lilies, gladioli and ferns.

Given in marriage by Mr. Rice Sr., the bride wore a gown of silver lace fashioned with a full skirt. She was attired in long fitted sleeves and a fitted bodice. Her headpiece was a halo hat of silver lace a tulle and her accessories included the engagement ring of the bridegroom’s grandmother, pearls belonging to the bridegroom’s mother and a blue sapphire bracelet. Her prayerbook was covered with a shower of white button orchids.

Sister is Attendant

Miss Elsie Buxman of New York City was her sister’s maid of honor gowned in tangerine chiffon fashioned with a sheered bodice and full skirt. She had a braided coronet of tangerine chiffon, long white kid gloves and a corsage of white orchids. Jean DeJen of Fairfield, Conn., was the best man with Robert E. Brogan and William F. Hall, both of Bridgeport, Conn., as the ushers. John R. O’Donovan of Norwalk, Conn., was the soloist and Miss Alfreda Pfeiffer of Stamford, Conn., was the organist.

Rice is a graduate of the University of Nebraska from which she holds a bachelor of science degree in home economics and was a member of Mortar Board, Phi Upsilon Omicron and Omicron Nu socieites. She attended the Merrill Palmer School in Detroit and since then has been associated with the home economics department

The reception following the ceremony was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carr Speirs in Stamford, the wedding party being assisted in the receiving line by Mr. and Mrs. Speirs and Mrs. Rice Sr. Guests from Plainfield included Dr. and Mrs. Edward Cushing, Mrs. Charlotte Smith, Miss Joan Cook, and Miss Peggy Joseph.

Mrs. Rice Jr. will take an extended tour through the midwest and South and will reside upon returning in Stamford.

OLD SAYBROOK (Special) — Mrs. Elsie Routsong, 46, an Old Saybrook High School teacher, died while dining at the Flagship Festival of Music Restaurant late Friday Night.

Police rushed to the scene with portable oxygen equipment, but were unable to revive the woman.

Ray Stannard of Westbrook, a dining companion with Mrs. Routson (sic) and her daughter, Luba Routson (sic), 11, gave artificial respiration until police arrived.

Dr. Aaron Greenberg, medical examiner, said Mrs. Routsong died of a heart attack.

Mrs. Routsong had lived at 1A Church La., Essex, for six months. A former resident of Old Saybrook and Bethlehem, Pa., she had been a part-time teacher in Old Saybrook before assuming her present post in home economics teaching January.

Born in Nebraka (sic)

She was born in Lincoln, Neb., Sept. 3, 1915, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth K. Buxman and the late John Buxman. She was a member of the Essex Congrgational Church.

Besides her mother and daughter, she leaves a sister, Mrs. William H. Rice Jr., of Plainfield, N.J.

Funderal services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Robinson and Wright Funeral Home, Main Street, Centerbrook. Dr. Allan I. Lorimer, pastor of the Essex Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln, Neb.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Berry lived in Lincoln for a number of years while her husband was engaged in business here. She was a former member of the Grace Methodist Church.
