Quay C. Kilburn. 49, Salt Lake City, a former Utah State Prison inmate who twice appeared on the FBI’s “ Ten Most Wanted" list, has been charged by Mexican Federal Police with the murder of his wife Lois, 45.
Salvador Kirales, director of the Baja California, Mexico State Judicial Police said Kilburn had confessed to drugging his wife, putting her in a sleeping bag in their car and pushing the vehicle off a 1,600 foot cliff.
WEDGED IN ROCKS
The woman's body was found between Tijuana and Mexicali, wedged between some rocks about 600 feet down the embankment. The car came to rest another 100 feet down the cliff.
According to the FBI, Kilburn has served time in Leavenworth and the Utah State Prison on a variety of robbery and embezzlement convictions and twice was on the FBI’s top 10 list for escape.
Until January, he had been employed by the State of Utah as an editor in the Highway Department according to the state personnel office. The Highway Department said he quit in January.
Kilburn had reportedly told Mexican police earlier that his wife had been driving the car on a trip between Tijuana and Mexicali and had apparently fallen asleep at the wheel. He told police he had been thrown clear of the car as it went over the cliff and received only a slight head cut.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kilburn were scheduled for Salt Lake City Monday. Following the services in the Deseret Mortuary, she was scheduled to be buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

On the morning of March 25th, Lillian Virginia Hagel-Pitt passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Virginia Hagel-Pitt was born August 1, 1934, in Lincoln, Nebraska where she grew up with one brother Warren. After graduating High School she modeled for Revlon, Jansen Swim Wear, and J.C. Pennys. While pursuing a career in modeling she fell in love and married in 1953 Melvin Duane Sinn. Melvin was stationed in the Air Force in Honolulu, Hawaii so Virginia continued her modeling career in Hawaii until 1955 upon which time she gave birth to identical twin sons Mark and Mike. In 1956 after Melvin’s stint with the Air Force, they moved back to Nebraska where Melvin attended college and Virginia was a full-time mother and part-time model. In 1959 a beautiful baby girl was born Leiann. Mark, Mike, and Leiann kept Virginia very busy while she also helped Melvin in school. In 1968 the family moved to Terre Haute, Indiana where Virginia started taking classes at Indiana State University where she eventually got two master’s degrees. One in Humanities and another in Sociology. After graduation and a divorce from Mel, she worked a short time for the Deming Center and then Peddle Park and eventually went to work as head of Adult Protective Services. She attended the Unitarian Church was a huge animal lover and loved gardening. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Virginia is survived by her ex-husband Melvin Duane Sinn/(Lucia), son Mark/(Cathy) Sinn, son Mike/(Eric Trostler), her daughter Leiann (Minnie)/(John) Phillips, her grandsons Dylan Sinn, Jurgen Sinn/(Britini Cox) and Great grand-daughter Leighton Sinn.
A memorial service will be at a later date at The Unitarian Universalist Church. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to The Unitarian church or the Humane Shelter.

Janice Irene Albert was born Nov 3rd 1937 the youngest of 5 children on Bainbridge Island in Washington state. She passed peacefully on Aug 16th at home with loved ones by her side in Hesperia CA.
She came to Hesperia in 1988 after her marriage to Lowell (Al) Albert who passed in 1998. Janice raised 3 girls with ex husband James Bernier.
She is survived by daughter Virginia (Jenny) Tarver and her husband David. Her daughters Teresa Gregg and Bonnie Bernier preceded in death. She has grandchildren, Irene Misenhimer, Derick Bennett and Colin Rakestraw, Kelsey Tarver and 5 great grandchildren.
Janice was a elder in the Snoqualmie tribe and also was a member of the Moose, Eagles and Ladies Auxiliary.
Janice loved her pool games with her friends, going to the casinos and especially her tribe of puppies!! She was fun loving, generous and kind and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
