Miss Ruth Webb and Russell Weller were quietly married on Wednesday afternoon at half after one by the Rev. C. M. Warner of Grace Methodist Church, only close relatives attending the ceremony

The bride wore her traveling gown of navy blue cloth, with hat to match, and a corsage bouquet of Cecil Brunner roses and violets.

A luncheon at the Hotel Sacramento followed the ceremony, after which Mr. and Mrs. Weller left on their honeymoon.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Abbie Webb, and is a talented violinist. She has a host of friends in this city, where she has spent her girlhood.

Weller recently came from Chicago to take a position with the Goodyear Tire Company in this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Weller will make their home in an apartment at 1215 Twenty-fifth street on their return.

Services are today for Sam F. Weller, who died Monday in Santa Cruz. He was 69.

Mr. Weller was born in Sacramento and graduated from McClatchy High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1941 and served in the submarine service until 1945. He moved to Santa Cruz where he worked for Meadow Gold Dairy. He was part owner of Hamlet Restaurants and later the owner of Sam's Charbroiler in Scotts Valley.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jean Weller of Scotts Valley; his two daughters, Linda Carlson of South Lake Tahoe and Loretta Leppert of Hayfork; his brother, Frederick Weller of Sacramento; and his three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Oakwood Memorial Park, Paul Sweet Road, with the Rev. Larry Morkert officiating. Norman's Family Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas Carter “Tom” Conner, age 56, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died Friday, August 3, 2012 at his residence.

Tom was born September 19, 1955 in Drexel, Missouri to James Carter and Lillie Louise (Woodall) Conner. He was the second of seven children.

He graduated from Drexel High School in the class of 1973.

Tom was married on March 11, 1986 in Olathe, Kansas to Jessica Marline Busch. They made their home in DeSoto, Kansas for three years before moving to Osawatomie, Ks. in 1989.

Tom was self employed as a Stonemason. 

Tom was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Osawatomie. He was a member of the International Bricklayers and Trowel Trades IPF and Bricklayer and Allied Craftsman Union Local 15. He was an active member of “The Rocky Mountain Fur Company” which he was Captain of for two years.

Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Louise (Woodall) Conner.

He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Bailey Louise Jarrett and her husband Jesse of Malden, Missouri and Corie Renee Conner of Fontana, Kansas; his father, James Carter Conner of rural Fontana, Ks; four brothers, Mike Conner of Greeley, Ks., Doug Conner of Osawatomie, Ks., Clay Conner of Paola, Ks. and John Conner of Harrisonville, Mo; two sisters, Sherry Conner of Osawatomie, Ks. and Julie Bunger of Harrisonville, Mo; one Granddaughter, Maycen Jarrett of Malden, Mo.

Cremation with private family services at later date.

Clifford Ellingson, age 86, of Glenfield, ND, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Clifford A. Ellingson was born on June 10, 1926, the son of Fanuel and Marie (Stangeland) Ellingson at Cooperstown, ND. He grew up and lived on the family farm near Glenfield. In June of 1952, Clifford was inducted into the US Army and served in Korea. He was Honorably Discharged in June of 1954. Clifford returned to the family farm and farmed there until his retirement in 1999.

He was a member of Gideons International, Prairie Faith Lutheran Church in Glenfield, served 31 years on the Board of Directors at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, ND, served as Haven Township Treasurer for many years, and was James River Cemetery Sexton. Clifford was excellent at woodworking. He built cabinets, roll top desks, and clocks along with many other items such as children’s toys, lamps, candle holders, and puzzles. Also, Clifford really enjoyed African violets and had over a dozen plants he faithfully cared for.

Clifford is survived by two sisters, Lillian Pedersen, Carrington, ND and Marvel Lindstrom, Glenfield, ND; two brothers, Franklin (Jean) Ellingson and Elroy (JoAnn) Ellingson, both of Glenfield; and 12 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Gordon Pedersen and Glenn Lindstrom; one sister-in-law, Marlys Ellingson; and one niece, Malina Ellingson Larson.

Gordon Leo Pedersen, son of Andrew and Pauline Sorensen Pedersen, married Lillian Ellingson, daughter of Fanuel and Marie Stangeland Ellingson on October 11, 1946.

Gordon's brothers and sisters are Albert, Carl, Inger Hutchinson and Elvira Gussiaas all of Carrington, North Dakota, and Edith Johnson of Juanita, North Dakota.

Lillian's brothers and sisters are Marvel Lindstrom, Clifford, Franklin and Elroy Ellingson, all with Glenfield, North Dakota, address.

Gordon Pedersens purchased their farm, which is on section 27 Rolling Prairie from his father. The Pedersens are active in their community. Their son Mark, farms their land besides his own.

They had six children: Sherman is a mechanic in Mandan. Corrine lives in Pound, Wisconsin, and married Durrand Bell September 26, 1974. Their children are Elijah, Enoch, Moses, Isaiah and Hannah.

Kendal is a pharmacist in Anchorage, Alaska. Mark farms and married Marsha Hoffman December 20, 1974. Their children are Tricia, Andrew and Ryan.

Kevin is a mechanic for John Deere in New Rockford. He married Virginia Zimprich April 28, 1979. Their children are Derek, Lisa and Carla.

Sheila has her own shop for His and Hers for Hair in Valley City, North Dakota.  She married Maynard Flatt December 6, 1985. Maynard farms near Pillsbury.

Gerhard Ellingson, age 81, of Carrington, ND, formerly of Grace City, ND, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.

Gerhard Mandroph Ellingson was born on February 8, 1932, the son of Gunder and Inger (Fundingsland) Ellingson in Carrington. He attended country school in Haven Township in Foster County and also attended school for a short time at Juanita.

On November 10, 1957, Gerhard was united in marriage to Darlene Hins in Medina. ND. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Italy. After his Honorable Discharge, they lived in Carrington for a short time where Gerhard worked at the lumber yard before moving to a farm near Grace City in 1959. Gerhard farmed and raised cattle and in 1970, he studied at home to start a sideline business in air conditioning and refrigeration repair. Gerhard retired from farming and they moved to Carrington in the fall of 2010.

He was a supervisor on Nordmore Township board for many years and served on Foster County ASCS later known as FSA board for 3 terms. Gerhard was a member of James River Lutheran Church, Grace Lutheran Church in Grace City, and Trinity Lutheran Church. In 1987, they traveled to Norway to visit relatives. Gerhard enjoyed farming, raising cattle, tinkering in the shop and watching baseball.

Gerhard is survived by his wife, Darlene of Carrington; one son, Mitchell (Lori) Ellingson, Grace City; one daughter, Janine (John) Gisi, New Rockford, ND; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Katie Gisi; three brothers, Einar Ellingson, Glenfield, Arvid (Lillian) Ellingson, West Fargo, ND, and Lester (Val) Ellingson, Carrington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dennis Ellingson; four sisters-in-law, Pat Ellingson, Leona Walcker, Bernice Guthmiller and Wanda Topp; and one brother-in-law, Gerald Walcker.
