1912 - 2014
Born on January 27, 1912 in Esmond, N.D. and moved to Sacramento, CA in 1936. She went to be with The Lord on January 29, 2014 to join her husband Peter Scharosch. They were married for 66 years. Also preceding her in death were her parents Ignatius and Kathryn Leier and sisters Anne Walter, Bette Monroe, brothers Lambert, Anton, Bill, Walter and George Leier. She leaves behind her 4 children: Marvin Scharosch (Norma - deceased), Jerry Scharosch (Cathy), Frances Christiansen (David), and Jeanne Grieve (Michael). She was a loving grandmother to Brian Scharosch (Dena), Shannon Crawford (Craig), Jeff Scharosch, Wendy Tandy (Trevor), Dan Callahan, Jr. (Debbie), Kelly Lawrence (Dayle), Melissa Hansen (Greg), and Natalie Bee (Jason). Devoted great-grandmother to Josh Scharosch, Chandler and Camryn Crawford, Hailey Carlton, Jake, Hannah and Luke Tandy, Bryce, Erin, and Christopher Callahan, Megan Zupancic, Calvin Lawrence, Kelsey and Mckinleigh Hansen, Daniel and Adam Bee. Also survived by 3 sisters, Amelia Bachmeier, Mildred Magnuson, Arlene Johnson, brother Jack Leier and numerous nieces and nephews. Our loving mother was well known for her wonderful cooking, especially her delicious strudel and pineapple upside down cake. No one ever left her home hungry. Her generosity came from her heart. She loved to have fun with her family and often took them on trips in the motorhome. For many years everyone was welcome and enjoyed visiting in the cabin near Fiddletown. She belonged to Immaculate Conception Church for over 75 years. She was involved in Immaculate Conception Seniors Citizens, Sacramento Food Bank, Catholic Ladies Relief Society #1, Charter member of the St. Anthony's Club, Good Sam's Travel Club, and was honored as Woman of the Year by the Immaculate Conception Alter Society in 1992. She led the family with a strong Christian ethic and unconditional love. Her home was always a welcome place to everyone. Thank you Mom for so many enriching life experiences. You were a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. We know you are resting peacefully joining the rest of our family and friends in heaven. A special thank you to her unique and loving caregivers. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 9:30am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am, both at Immaculate Conception Church, 3263 1st Street, Sacramento. Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue, Sacramento, CA. Memorial donations can be made to Immaculate Conception Church or Sacramento Food Bank.

NORMA REED SCHAROSCH
Norma Reed Scharosch, born February 28, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas and passed away October 24, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jay and Orean Reed. She left behind her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Marvin. She was a homemaker and mother to her son Brian Scharosch and Shannon Crawford and sister to Dr. Willard Reed. She had 3 grandchildren, Josh, Chandler and Camryn.
Norma adored her regular mainland visits with the family, gardening, reading, shopping and sports.
She is remembered as a person who loved everyone.
Visitation will be at Diamond Head Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday, November 1 at noon, followed by a ceremony celebrating her life at 1:00 in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her honor to Hawaii Kai Church or The American Cancer Society.

He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Reserve Air Corps; was also a member of the National Association of Purchasing Agents, Pasadena, Lodge No. 672 B.P.O.E. and the Los Angeles Athletic Club. Mr. Sturm is survived by his wife Irene G. Sturm and sisters Mrs. P. C. Phillips of Sacramento, Elsa Smith and Anna Hilbert. Services 10:30 a.m. Friday in Memory Chapel, Ives & Warren Co., 100 North Hill Ave. Dr. Craig Carter officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn, Glendale.

and Thornton, my household and kitchen furniture of every kind, my
farming utensils, and stock of every kind, and everything appertaining

Samuel Webb and Armstead Webb sole Executors of this my last Will
