L. J. "Jack" Beers, 87, of Lincoln, died July 12, 2010. Mr. Beers was born March 28, 1923 to Leon and Eva (McCourtney) Beers in Lincoln. Jack was a Master Architect/Engineer which was his life's work and pride. He designed over 300 churches in a five state area and was a founding member of the Society of American Registered Architects. He served in the United States Marines during World War II as a qualified radio-radar gunner. He participated in the Treasury-Bougainville Operation, the Bismarck Archipelago Operation and the consolidation of the Northern Solomon Islands. Jack was a highly decorated Marine and received three purple hearts. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Sesostris Shrine. He was an avid Husker football fan and also a member of the 1941 Lincoln High State Championship Football Team. He was preceded by his parents, Mom and Pop Beers; a brother, Ted Beers; a sister, Lucille Beers Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothe, of Lincoln; son, John Beers , of Dorchester,; daughters, Lynne Seus (Doug), of Heber City, Utah, and Patty Jo Flower of Salt Lake City; step-children, George Culver, of Austin, Texas, and Steven Olsen (Kate), of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren and three nieces.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home, 4040 A. St., Lincoln, NE 68510. Visitation will be 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Masonic Lodge #300 or the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Larry D. Holladay US Air Force, Retired Larry passed away suddenly January 27, 2006 of natural causes. Born February 8, 1927 in Kiokuk, Iowa to Myrl and Mary Curtis Fowler. Served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict and made his career in the Air Force. Married Lois (Peggy) French in 1948; divorced in 1968. Larry was a patriotic man with strong opinions. His many years in the military had a great influence on his life. He loved animals. His two closest companions during the last 15 years of life were his dogs, Dudley and Chance. Survived by his children: Dana (Wil) Druk, Gary (Candy) Fowler, Susie (Steve) Phillips; grandchildren: Kristy, Shandon, January and Matthew; and his dog, Chance. To honor our dad's wishes, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's name to the Humane Society of Utah, 261-2919.

Floyd Harold Weston, 89, passed away at his home February 9, 2013. He was born January 14, 1924 and was a lifelong resident in the Salt Lake area. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He received the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged in 1945. He married Barbara Bowcutt (Rogers) then later divorced.

Floyd retired from Kennecott Copper in 1979. He loved old cars, loved to build and create new inventions, adoring his grandchildren, going to Chuck-A-Rama, and eating chocolate candy bars.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a Stake mission.

Floyd is survived by two sons and two daughters, Steven H. Weston (Carmen), Sherry Freedlund (Larry), David Weston, Marilyn Murdock (Weston); one sister, Donna Lewis (Stan), 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Weston and Blanche Larsen; 2 brothers, Arvil and Max; 2 sons, Gary Floyd Weston and Paul Douglas Weston; 2 grandchildren, Steven Lee Weston and Mattea Joy Freedlund.

The family would like to express their thanks to CareSource for the loving care they showed to Floyd.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 15, 2013 at 11:00am at the Emerson Ward, 808 East Roosevelt Ave (1450 S.). Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Friday morning from 9:30am to 10:30 am prior to services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

The funeral of Henry R. Weber, 57, of 3933 Touzalin, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Havelock Christian Church. He died Tuesday.

The Rev. Merlin Dana will officiate. Ellis Jeffery will be organist. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Born at Culbertson, Mr. Weber was a plumber for Anderson Hardware & Plumbing Company for 32 years. He had lived in Lincoln 55 years, and in Nebraska all his life. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge 244 and Havelock Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine; three sons, Irvin E., Robert E. and Sverett H., all of Lincoln; and six grandchildren.

Henry Richard Weber was born November 21, 1895 to John J. and Marie Catheran Weber at Culbertson, Nebraska and departed this life March 31, 1953 at the age of 57 years, 4 months and 10 days.

At the age of two years he moved with his parents to Lincoln where he made his home for 55 years.

On November 28, 1916 he was united in marriage to Catherine M. Hock at Lincoln, Nebraska. To this union four sons were born, Irvin, Dick, Robert and Everett.

For the past 32 years, Mr. Weber was employed by the Anderson Hardware and Plumbing Company. He was a member of the Havelock Christian Church and the I. O. O. F. Lodge 244.

He was preceded in death by his son Dick who was killed December 1944 during World-War II.

He is survived by his wife Catherine; three sons, Ervin, Robert and Everett all of Lincoln; six grand-children, several other relatives and many friends.
