Celia C. Wery, 91, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 17, 2016 while in the loving care of two of her sisters, Angie Froemming and Virginia Denler.

She was the second child born to Arnold Denler Sr. and Lucille (Moses) Denler, being the second in a family of twelve siblings.

Born during the severe, chilling month of December in 1924, on the 31st, in Grand Marais, MN, she was given the name 'Celia'. Her father wrote of her birthing, "Little Celia was born today at 7:30 a.m. We never expected her so soon and were unprepared as far as help was concerned." Little Celia's father did the delivery.

She grew up in the home of a teacher, and graduated from Maplewood Academy, Hutchinson, MN. Then Celia continued her education at Emmanuel Missionary College (now Andrews University), Berrien Springs, MI; and on to Union College, Lincoln, NE. During her career years she worked at the Faribo Woolen Mills, Faribault, MN; also as a dental assistant in California; and as a secretary with Retail Credit Co. in Madison, WI (for many years), and all this before her marriage to Robert Wery. On June 2, 1971, Bob and Celia were married. They continued the dairy farm work on Bob's Greenfield Acres Farm in Green Bay.

Bob and Celia were faithful members of the Green Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church. They believed strongly in Christian education and supported many, many young people in their educational endeavors.

Celia is survived by her brothers and sisters, Virginia Denler, Julian Denler, Bonnie Brucher, Arnold Denler Jr., Angie Froemming, Loren Denler, Leland Denler, Veryl Denler, and Darlene Brooks.

Bob preceded her in death in March, 2010; also two of her sisters have passed: Juney Mize and Fay Wintermeyer.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. William Ochs officiating. Burial will be in Mill Center Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Green Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church School for the Worthy Student Funds.

Celia rests now until that great Resurrection Day when Jesus will call all His followers to awake and meet with Him then. (1Thessolonians 4:15-18)
