Was a private in Company C of the 63rd Illinois Infantry. He joined December 1, 1861 at the age of 23 with a residence of Olney, Richland County, IL.7530 He re-enlisted (second time gives name as Samuel H Leasor) on February 29, 1864 in Huntsville, AL. The second enlistment record indicates that he was born in Hardin County, KY.
