Notes for Ida Josephina Larson
E. E. Palmquist (1889 - 1930) is buried in the Mission Cemetery where Ida Palmquist is buried. This could match any of three of her children but since I have a match on Elder that says he lived much longer and I suspect I have a match on Emma living much longer, I believe that this is Eny.2015 An Elmer Palmquist born February 9, 1900 and died March 2, 2002 had a last residence of Red Oak, Montgomery County, IA (SSN 480-09-5514).1972 It sure sounds like a member of this family.

Her obituary in the Chariton Herald-Patriot reads:

2016Many friends here will regret to learn of the death of a former Lucas county lady, Mrs. C. J. Palmquist, of Stanton, which occurred at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha on Wednesday, January 12, 1910, after an illness of several months with a tumor. Funeral services were held Saturday at the family home in Stanton.

Ida Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Larson, was born in Sweden in 1867. She came to this country with her parents when but a year old, and resided in Lincoln township, this county, until her marriage in 1886 to C. J. Palmquist, when they went to Stanton, where they have since resided. She is survived by her husband and seven children, five sons and two daughters. Four brothers are also living. They are A. H. Larson, of Herndon, Kansas; David, of Norquay, Saskatchewan, Canada; J. O. of Escandido, California, and G. N., of Lincoln township, this county, who was with her during her last sickness. Deceased had been a member of the Swedish Mission church from girlhood, and had lived a faithful Christian life. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her for her lovable qualities. The bereaved relatives will have the sympathy of this community in their grief.

All sources of data are documented on the “Person Sheet” for each individual. My early data often came from less-than-reliable sources (e.g., “Sarah’s genealogy pages”). If the only sources for a person is something like that or worse there is no listed source for data, please take the information as only a suggestion and not a fact.
