Mahlon H. Serns was born in Cambridge, Wisconsin, on April 14, 1880 and fell asleep in Jesus June 13, 1957. He received his education in our schools and for a number of years was an instructor in voice at Union College and Broadview College. Following this he spent a number of years as a singing evangelist working in many of the cities of the mid-west. His faith in the Advent hope was bright until the hour of death. Words of comfort were spoken by the writer assisted by a dear friend of Brother Serns, Elder Henry Grundset. Burial was at the Bethel Cemetery.
