District Judge Shepherd Tuesday gave Marie Mamie Headrlrk a divorce from Roy Headrick on a charge of cruelty and ordered restoration of her maiden name, Plckard. She charged cruelty.

Marie Minnie Headrick filed suit for divorce from Roy Headrick in District court Saturday morning charging extreme cruelty. They were married at Seward on October 22, 1928. Mrs. Headrick asks temporary alimony and restoration of her maiden name, Marie Minnie Pickard.

CHOWCHILLA, March 19. John O. Larson, 65, Chowchllla resident, received fatal injuries here about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon when he fell off a wagon.

Larson and his son, Joseph, were unloading posts from a wagon, Larson lost his balance and fell, striking on his head. Larson had already died of the Injury when Dr. H. G. Martin of Chowchilla arrived.

The deceased had lived in Chowchilla for 12 years. He was a members of the Adventist church. Surviving relatives are: The wife, Mrs. Josephine Larson; four sons, Joseph and David of Chowchilla, Albert of St. Helena and Aaron of Panama; three daughters, Mrs. W. A. Hemme, Mrs. A. J. Eberhardt and Miss Mable Larson all of Chowchilla; three brothers, D. A. Larson of Canada, D. M. Larson of lowa and A. H. Larson of Kansas.

The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Seven Day Adventist church near Chowchilla. Elder H. S. Shaw will conduct the services. Burial will be in Arbor Vitae cemetery.

W. A. HEMME-W. A. Hemme passed away at his home in Chowchilla early Tuesday morning. He was 58 years old and had lived in Chowchilla for the past 37. He was a native of Illinois and came to Madera county as a young man and spent most of his life farming, in this district. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Chowchilla.

His survivors are his wife, Alma M. and one son, Earl; three daughters, Leeta and Thelma Hemme of Chowchilla and Mrs. Della Habenicht of Angwin, Calif.; and two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Olso of Madera and Emma Hansen of North Sacramento.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Friday in the Adventist church in Chowchilla. Burial will be in the Plainsburg cemetery, Jay Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Henry Hemme, 77, of Madera, who died Wednesday in a Norwalk hospital after a long illness, will be at 9:30 am. Friday, at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church, with burial following at Calvary Cemetary.

Rosary will be recited at Jay Chapel Thursday at 8 pm.

Mr. Hemme is survived by his wife, Marie, a son Robert, two daughters, Mrs. Marie Morgan and Mrs. Dollie Ford, and seven grandchildren; all of Madera; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Olsen, Modesto and Mrs. Emma Hansen of Sacramento.

Funeral services will be held Sunday from the R. S. Jay chapel for Mrs. Josie M. Larson, 63, who passed away yesterday at a sanitarium in San Diego following a six weeks illness. Rites will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock and interment will follow in the Arbor Vitae cemetery.

A native of Sweden, Mrs. Larson came to the United States when she was 12 years old and has been living in the Chowchilla community since 1914. She was a charter member of the Chowchilla Seventh Day Adventist church. She was the wife of the late J. O. Larson of Chowchilla.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alma Hemme, and Mrs. Mable Webb of Chowchilla, and Mrs. Maude Erkhardt of Placerville; three sons, Joseph E. of Chowchilla, Albert C. of San Diego and Aaron V. of Christobal, Panama.

The web of fate spun a queer coincidence in motor mishaps in the past 24 hours on Madera's highways, the California Highway Patrol reported today.

Yesterday at 8:30 p.m Chester Lee Webb, 52, of Chowchilla, driving east on Highway 152 one mile west of Ash Slough bridge, swerved to avoid a collision. His car overturned.

Today at 1:30 a m. another car overturned as it was being driven south on Highway 99 near Califa underpass. The driver told officers he swerved to avoid a collision.

His name was Oscar D. Webb, 20, of Romaland.

CHP reports there is no indication that the two men are related.

Oscar Webb was taken to Dearborn hospital with minor injuries. He is reported "doing all right." Chester Lee Webb was uninjured.
