1852. Austin & Bell Funeral Home, “Obituaries,”
Mr. Royce Wayne Jones passed away Tuesday night, February 12, 2013 at the Skyline Madison Campus Hospice at the age of 72. Royce was the son of Morgan Russell Jones and Clarice Cornelius Webb Jones who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nelda Harris. Royce was born in Sumner County, Tennessee. He was a member of Cross Plains United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Joyce Clinard Jones; three sons, Jeffrey Wayne Jones, Michael Todd Jones, Cory Allen Jones; one daughter, Sonya (Danny) Cherry; sister, Delores Weidemann; two grandchildren, Richard and Chasidy Forewright; three great-grandchildren, Nickiela Forewright, Mario Cogshel and Marianna Cogshell. His wife and children lovingly described Royce as a hard working man that loved his family and always provided well for them and as a man that cherished his many friends. A simple man who was known to do anything for anybody. He was a man of his word, if he said he would do something, he would do it; if he said he would be somewhere at a certain time, he was there. A couple of his favorite things to do was mow his lawn, sometimes two or three times a week and he also loved to reminisce about things of the past. His occupation was truck driver. He was employed by Franklin Express.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home Chapel in White House with Bro. Clint Jones and Bro. Mike Waltrip officiating.
