A woman of “low moral character.” She was afflicted with venereal diseases due to her lifestyle. There are matching entries for her two children remembered by Fred and Lynn Webb (Betty and Billy) in the California Birth Index but an additional child (Max Jefferson) appears to have been born between the two. Mrs. Francis E. Adams
Rimersburg--Mrs. Francis Elizabeth Adams, 63, of Pittsburgh, the mother of a Rimersburg woman, died Thursday, January 5, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following an extended illness.
Mrs. Adams had been employed as a chef at Pressley Ridge School in Pittsburgh and had resided in that city for the past 20 years.
She married twice. Her first husband was Stanley James Chapman, who died in 1954. She later married Paul Adams.
She was born at Central Butte, Saskatchewan, Canada, on March 17, 1914, the daughter of the late John Smith and Fannie Belle Dewees Webb.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Thomas E. (Elizabeth) Donohoe of Rimersburg RD 2; and, a son, John W. Chapman of Pittsburgh.
Funeral services were held in the J. D. Miller Funeral Home here at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Lawrence Elmadollar, pastor of the New and Living Way Chapel of Rimersburg RD 1, officiating. Interment was in Lawsonham Cemetery.
