Notes for Ensign Christopher Webb Jr.
A "sometime keeper" of the Braintree Records starting on May 13, 1673677

He came to America with his father when he was young and they settled at Braintree, Massachutts. In 1654 he married Hannah Scott and he was a representative of his town and was referred to as "Hon. Christopher Webb". From him is descended the Baltimore branch of the family. For a period of seventeen years he served as town clerk of Braintree Massachutts. He recorded the dates of marriages, births and deaths of the citizens of Braintree in Suffolk County, Massachutts. He did so in the OLD STYLE, following the precepts set forth in the Julian Calendar. The original records bearing the handwriting of Christopher Webb are extant in the town clerk's office in Braintree Massachutts.560

All sources of data are documented on the “Person Sheet” for each individual. My early data often came from less-than-reliable sources (e.g., “Sarah’s genealogy pages”). If the only sources for a person is something like that or worse there is no listed source for data, please take the information as only a suggestion and not a fact.
