Mable Larson was his fourth wife--he had children from his first and third marriages. He came to California from Montana when he was in his 60’s. George worked at Bright’s Nursery in Le Grand, CA for the last decade (at least) of his life. One morning on his drive to work he did not see a truck and pulled out in front of it. He was not wearing his seat belt and his head hit the passenger door of his pickup, causing a brain injury from which he never regained consciousness.
