Notes for William Henry Lavigne
Bill Lavigne developed a serious blood clotting condition in his leg as a complication from chronic heavy smoking. To prevent throwing a blood clot to his lungs or brain the leg was amputed and replaced by a prosthesis which he rarely wore.2453

Recollections of Arlene Webb:

He took his own life upon hearing of his wife's approaching death and actually preceded her in death by 3 hours. This made a dramatic difference in the distribution of their estate as Bill had no family. Had Bill survived Verna, the estate would have likely gone to the State. As it was, it was divided among the three surviving children of Verna.

It was discovered just before the funeral that Bill had not had an honorable discharge from the military and therefore could not be buried in the National Cemetery. Interment was actually in Oakland.11

All sources of data are documented on the “Person Sheet” for each individual. My early data often came from less-than-reliable sources (e.g., “Sarah’s genealogy pages”). If the only sources for a person is something like that or worse there is no listed source for data, please take the information as only a suggestion and not a fact.
