Notes for Lawrence Gerald Abruscato
I do not recall the source of the following information:
Larry was out-going and fun-loving. He worked as a gemologist in Santa Barbara. He studied photography at Brookes Institute and gemology at Santa Monica. He enjoyed art and growing orchids. Jerry had mediumbrown curly hair. He served in the US Army from Aug 67 to Aug 69, as a mortarman (11C20). In Vietnam served with the 4th Inf Div. After acouple of months in-country while on a search patrol (platoon strength),his unit was caught by friendly fire. The point of the patrol was hitand a man who had gone through basic and advanced training with Larry waskilled. The only thing that saved Larry was jumping into an old shellhole. He later served at Ft Hood, TX until he separated from the service. Larry rose to the rank of Sergeant (E5).
