White County Census of 18203658 only shows Henry (1 male and 1 female over 45--matches James’ father), Morgan (1 male under 10, 1 male 10-16, 1 male 18-26, and 1 male 26-45--matches James’ brother perfectly), and William (3 males and 2 females under 10, 1 female 10-16, and 1 male 26-45--not a perfect match for what I have of James’ brother William) DeWeese familys with no mention of James DeWeese. It doesn’t seem right then for all of the children (both before and after 1820) to be born in White County as indicated by3660.

Possibly the James DeWeese taxed for 1wp (assumedly one white person) listed in “Capt. White’s Co.”in the 1818 tax list from White County, TN.3665
